How to get your ChatGPT API key

To start using Hopper as your wrist AI assistant, you will first need to add an OpenAI API key. An API key is your unique access pass, enabling advanced AI features directly on your wrist. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to create your key and link it to Hopper.

Step 1: Create your OpenAI account

First things first, you need an OpenAI account. Go to the OpenAI platform and sign up here.

Step 2: Generate your secret API key

Once you're logged in, go to 'Settings' or click on the gear (⚙️) icon on the top right section.

In Settings, you can generate your key in the "API Keys" section in the left-hand menu here.

• Click on "+ Create new secret key".
• Give it a memorable name (e.g., "HopperKey") to easily identify its purpose later. After entering a name, click "Create secret key".

• On the next screen, your unique API key will be displayed. It's important that you copy this key immediately and store it in a secure place. For security reasons, you will not be able to view the full key again through the OpenAI website.

Step 3: Set up billing details

To activate your new API key, you must set up a payment method.

Under Settings, select "Billing" from the left-hand menu and click "Add to credit balance."

Add an initial credit and set up automatic recharges if you prefer. Provide your payment information as prompted.

Step 4: Connect the API key to your Hopper App

With your key ready, the final step is to link it to your Hopper watch app.

• Open Hopper: Launch the Hopper AI app on your phone.

• Go to Settings: Navigate to the 'Settings' menu by clicking on the gear (⚙️) icon in the bottom navigation bar.

• Paste Key: Find the API Key field and paste the secret key you saved in Step 2.

That's it! Your Hopper watch app is now connected to OpenAI, unlocking a new level of intelligent features.
